Dear Friends & Family,

Greetings from Mexico City! This is NOT my Weekly Update, but rather an Urgent Plea for Prayer on behalf of a brother in Moldova. I am still here in Mexico, working on an upcoming production in two weeks. However, I have received an important letter from Pastor Victor Antoci that I felt impressed by the Lord to share with you.

You'll recall that God is doing great things in communist Moldova and that many are being saved. I was there last year for 2 different productions. We saw many saved, over 1,000. However, with great blessings come great trials. You'll also recall it was Moldova where I was arrested and detained for three weeks.

Victor and his family continue to live in this atheist state, where they are abused, slighted and lied about. Yet, Victor continues to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and has started three flourishing churches! God has blessed Victor with a good friend, the mayor of the city who isn't Christian, but who has an open heart towards the things of God. He's very near the Kingdom!

I want to share with you his letter dated today, September 6, 2006:

With Pastor Victor outside one of the three evangelical churches he has started in Moldova.

"Dear Richard

I head a very heart day and very tired of a tow meetings with the priests. they are united against our meeting. They were 15 and they said that in this areia are 27 orthodox churches and All of them are anghest of what we are doing. They said that they will come to stop our meeting and it will be a very bed situation if they will come with the people from the villages.

The Mayer is a very good Mayer and he tolled them that he is the Maier of the orthodox people and of the evangelical churches to. then the priest said to him but we are 94 % of the population are orthodox and we have to stop them. the Mayer said to him but you have to know that a small stone can torn upside down a big truck.

The priests did not liked the Mayer but the mayer know has to study more about our rights as a evangelical church and tomorrow will give an answer to the priests and to me. So far I don't know if the evangelistic meeting will be able to do it know on September 9.

We pray and I believe that the Lord will help us.

Victor did not ask, but is in URGENT need of prayer... your prayers. I urge you my brothers and sisters around the world who are part of the Kingdom of God, please pray for YOUR brother in Moldova. The Orthodox churches are trying to stop him, discourage him and to keep him from continuing to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
